Insurance Brokerage Firm
Large Automotive Retailer
Northeast Brokerage, Inc.
Insurance Brokerage Firm
As a growing brokerage firm, our client needed to enhance the overall security of their technology systems, as well as the protection of their clients’ data, to allow them to partner with additional agencies and financial institutions, as part of their company’s growth strategy. This enhanced securing of their technology platform needed to exist without inhibiting their diverse remote workforce around the country.
Cooperative Systems performed an exhaustive evaluation of our client’s applications and software systems being used, to determine compatibility with a securely hosted/cloud-based infrastructure. Thru this evaluation, it was determined that we could privately host our clients user-based infrastructure in our data center, as well as provide full redundancy of their systems and data, to ensure continual up-time and enhanced protection of their data. Since migrating from a premise-based infrastructure, to a hosted/cloud-based infrastructure, our client has been able to form relationships with financial institutions that require enhanced security provisions, as well as rest easy knowing that their systems and data reside in ultra-secure physical environments.
Herb Chambers Companies
Large automotive retailer with over 30 Sites and 2,000 employees
Faced with compliance regulations, such as payment card (PCI) and personal information (PI), as well as their own desire to enhance the security of their network, our client needed to implement a more comprehensive cyber security protection platform of their network.
Cooperative Systems consulted with our client as well as the associated vendors involved in the financial and personal information transactions on their network, and determined that a Continuous Security Monitoring (CSM) platform made the most sense to provide enhanced monitoring and real-time analysis on security events within the environment. Since implementing the platform, numerous risks have been identified, evaluated, and consequently mitigated to reduce the overall risk of data security breaches within their environment.
Grove Property Fund
with multiple offices along the East coast
Each office receives telecommunications and internet services from a unique service provider. With each office acting as an individual entity, though under the same corporate umbrella, they struggled with system management, vendor relations, and excessive charges such as that for long distance charges.
NOAH Voice, powered by Star2Star, has been implemented in every office and all sites are using the single unified system. This has had a significant impact on this organization’s ability to simplify management and has resulted in cost savings. There has been a secondary benefit of this solution- the client has seen increased mobility with the Find Me/Follow Me feature they now have in place, which automatically routes calls made to any office phone to the cell phone or remote phone defined by the user.
Hartford Municipal Employees’ Federal Credit Union
Credit Union with plans to expand
This client currently has 4 branches in operation and will be adding 2 new branches over a 2-month period. They were looking for solutions to optimize their up-time and upgrade their security hardware.
Meraki hardware was introduced to tie all the locations together maintaining consistency and securing the network. The Meraki firewalls were configured to weed out unwanted content and prevent phishing attacks. To create the redundancy, a cradle point was added at each location. This cradle point ties into the firewall, if an outage is detected with the primary internet source, the firewall automatically fails over to maintain the internet connection.
Wentworth Surgery Center
Outpatient facility with complex security requirements
Tasked with building a brand new premier, state-of-the-art surgery center affiliated with Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, our client had strict requirements for a compliant, reliable, and secure computing and technology platform to support the brand new facility.
Cooperative Systems consulted and worked with the management company who was building out this new facility. We coordinated with the chosen EHR/EMR software vendor to design and subsequently build a fully hosted technology system, which was housed at a secure HIPAA compliant data center with dedicated and private connectivity back to the surgery center. We worked within the physical requirements of the new facility to design and install a secure network with WiFi access, along with consistently configured computing devices. Today, Cooperative Systems continues to maintain and monitor this client’s operation as it relates to technology, and we provide all day-to-day support services. Our support has allowed this surgery center to operate reliably and efficiently with utmost priority on security of their systems and their data.
Healthcare marketing specialists
This healthcare marketing organization was on the look-out for a reliable IT vendor who could improve the performance of their overall network, which abrupt change from their current IT consultant, they turned to us.
We conducted a network assessment prior to assuming responsibility for this team’s network, which allowed us to immediately provide support via our help desk and onsite technicians. We deployed our network experts to evaluate their Mac and PC environment and isolate the weakest points in the network that were causing the most problems for users. Within a few days, we had changed their backup solution to an interim cloud based solution to their data. Within a few months, all of their major servers and networking components were consolidated to our latest and greatest standards.
Multi-national management consulting firm
This consulting firm was in search of a vendor that could understand the power of the cloud in a virtual company environment, since their employees are always traveling all over the globe. Their previous vendor designed and built a traditional corporate style environment designed for centralized servers and offered limited functionality for remote users.
Our team designed and implemented a purely cloud-based solution that now offers maximum flexibility for mobile power users while at the same time maintaining enough control to support and maintain technology standards – even while operating in dozens of offices worldwide. Today they utilize our NOAH Cloud Sync and NOAH Cloud Mail offerings along with patching and remote support through our centralized helpdesk. The enablement and freedom of independently owned personal computer devices combined with the flexible and powerful NOAH management system allows this consulting company unconstrained by a centralized and bureaucratic and limiting IT policy infrastructure.
Swanson Tool Manufacturing
A small manufacturing company in Connecticut that needed to update their systems in a way that would have minimal impact on cash flow.
We met with the owner to come up with a two phase plan that allowed for hardware and software upgrades to be done over the course of two years without sacrificing consistency and up-time. We worked in partnership with the software application provider to bring their 10 year old systems to the most current software and hardware standards supported by their vendors. We also migrated their antiquated POP e-mail to a hosted Exchange mail system (NOAH Cloud Mail), which allows for consistent messaging on their desktop and mobile devices. They are now running much more efficiently as a result and will be able to run on this configuration for a long time to come.
Wethersfield Public Schools
A local school district has periodic demands on their internal resources and at times cannot keep up with the workload or more complex projects in order. They were looking for a one-stop source that could help with both ongoing support and more sophisticated network projects.
We were able to rapidly augment this client’s current staff capabilities. In addition, when summer projects hit their stride, our engineers were ready and capable of getting those projects done under their strict timeframes. We have assisted this particular school district with a highly available Exchange system supporting 3000+ users in addition to Lightspeed Email Message Journaling for the entire school district. The school system can utilize our knowledgeable staff to support them since we have a solid understanding of their systems. This saves a tremendous amount of time compared to bidding out work as needed. Because we have a long history supporting school systems, they benefit through our knowledge and sensitivity to school schedules and strict project time frames.
Van Pool Transportation
Specialized School Transportation
This transportation company, employing over 700 drivers, selected us to help them through a maze of software applications designed to bring their paper based system into a full-fledged GPS/AVL environment.
We surveyed both technical and operations sides of their business to determine the kinds of features that would be required to help them stay competitive and sustain their incredible 40% annual growth. We generated and distributed a Request for Information to ten vendors and thereafter managed the selection process through to the selection of a vendor. Today a proof-of-concept is in progress for one location and there are plans for a multi-million dollar implementation in 2016. In the interim, our help desk has taken over daily support of their cloud based Exchange system and we are implementing a corporate-wide voice over IP phone system in at least 6 locations.
